Currently, Dr. Qutob is president of the board of the Arab Development Society in Jericho and a member of the Islamic Waqf Council in Jerusalem. Born in Jerusalem in 1943, Dr. Mohammad Qutob studied at Victoria College in Cairo and continued his education in British universities where he earned a PhD in organic chemistry. He was a research fellow at Cambridge University and Dean of the College of Science and Technology in Abu Dis between 1979 and 1991. He subsequently became chairman of the Palestinian Research Agricultural Centre.
