![]() A text from 2015 about PARKWERK, an ongoing project in Lohberg/Dinslaken, Germany, since 2014 by Jeanne van Heeswijk, Marcel van der Meijs and Britt Jurgensen. PARKWERK is a group of Lohberger residents and stakeholders, who develop new forms of reciprocity between the former coal mine (specifically the Bergpark) and Lohberg. The central question of this process is: How can inhabitants from Lohberg collectively negotiate and manifest their qualities in order to become co-producers of the current structural transformation of the area? https://web.facebook.com/Parkwerk?_rdc=1&_rdr Download the text here.

The contributions of the participating artists, Susanne Bosch (GER/NI), Michelle Browne (IRE), Chrissie Cadman (NI), Ele Carpenter (UK), Fiona Larkin (IRE/NI), Christine Mackey (IRE), Ailbhe Murphy (IRE), Andrea Theis (GER/NI), Sabe Wunsch (GER) and Francis Zeischegg (GER), can now be found in this publication. Ten artists make their work transparent reflecting and explaining what they actually do when they are practicing in communication with others. The book is to be read as a toolbox for artists operating with participatory and collaborative strategies. Based on the art projects presented as ‘case studies’, it refers to artistic methodologies, but also to theoretical frameworks and other practitioners. ![]() Art in Public Space. The artists have worked together since 2006, both collaboratively and individually with migrants in Ireland (north and south), wider Europe and North Africa. Their creative investigations are based on the premise of a principal situatedness of art in place and community and its connectedness through dialogic exchange. They employ a range of strategies, from direct engagement with migrants to provocative public interferences, which expose the structures of power that may inflict vulnerability and marginalization on individuals. Their projects have been exhibited widely internationally and their individual art works are represented in numerous public and private collections. ![]() Herausgeber: Büros für Kunst im öffentlichen Raum Berlin ![]() Madrid Abierto Magazine for Public Art Events 2010, edition of 2000, with forwords from Saskia Sassen and Cecilia Andersson, see contributions for Hucha De Deseos ![]() The INTERFACE Report 2006-2009, editors: Kerstin Mey / Karen Fleming: The INTERFACE / Art and its Locations / FOCUS: Art in Contested Spaces and Art and Documentation based in the University of Ulster launched in May 2009 its 180 page report about the key activities of the center and its researchers between 2006-2009, ![]() Istanbul/Berlin fellows 1998-2009 ![]() Bosch, Susanne, Driver, Chr.
